LEGENDARY JAZZ DRUMMER JOE MORELLO DIES

15-Mar-2011 Legendary jazz drummer Joe Morello died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 82.       
Joe was a truly special drummer and musician.  His creative command of unusual time signatures was one of the things he was most noted for. Morello's 5/4 beat was the inspiration for "Take Five", a best-known Top 40 jazz recording by The Dave Brubeck Quartet, the group Joe was an intregral part of for 12 years.
