Great Leather had the privilege of having the Boy Scouts in the shop to do a project. The Webelos Den (We'll be loyal scouts) of Pack #227 from Avon, IL., came and made leather hand grips for their walking sticks. They learned several tips for measuring, used several tools that were new to them, and got to be creative in personalizing their grips. Douglas came up with a way to use a piece of leather that was cut wrong and I have a new leather sleeve for my scissors! The boys did a great job and fun was had by all.

February 26th
Great Leather and Leather Care Specialists will be participating in the upcoming benefit for Easter Seals at the Civic Center Ballroom, Peoria, IL. This is the 5th annual Easter Seals Black and Blue Ball (black for black tie, blue for blue jean).
We are very proud to be donating leather care services to this event, and to have the honor of several silent auction "baskets" designed around Great Leather leathergoods.
This event is already sold out, but for those of you who have your tickets, please bid generously!

Easter Seals provides exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our communities.

My Great Leather stickbag is definitely one of a kind and very special indeed. First of all very comfortable to handle and carry and thanks to the velcro locks and the amazing quality very durable and reliable. Awesome piece of gear.

Each year, the first two full weekends in October, we have an artisan booth at the historic Walnut Grove Farm Barn on the Knox County Scenic Drive. The Knox County Scenic Drive in Illinois is a very fun annual fall festival.  It's a great time to be outside and see the leaves in vibrant colors, to have fun with friends and family, and find cool Christmas presents.  The Walnut Grove Farm Barn is one of the most wonderful places on this route to go!  There will be artists and demonstrations, music traditional for the farm, horse drawn wagon rides (big horses!), farm animals and homemade cheese, and open kettle stew.
